 About the Shaft
The Shaft itself has been successfully operating for some 4 years now, although a nightclub has existed in the same premises for approximately 16 years. The Shaft offers excellent bar specials, professional DJ and bar staff and an assortment of music and ‘adult’ games which cater to almost everyone’s tastes, which makes us one of the most popular forms of weekend night-time entertainment! The club boasts a funky, fun environment for everyone, so if that’s your scene – you need to be there every Friday and Saturday night! Our Staff We’ve got some great staff who cater to your every need, however, we’re always looking for more, so check our EMPLOYMENT SECTION if you think you’ve got what it takes to move and shake at The Shaft. DJ Damo has been resident at The Shaft, and it’s predecessors, for some 15 years using both vinyl and cd’s. If he’s elsewhere, you’ll be in good hands with his protégé DJ Tam or DJ Colin – who has several years’ experience on the international circuit, touring with the likes of Anne Savage and Madison Avenue. We’re happy to try and play your requests – remember though, the harder it is, the more likely we are to play it!

Members of our Management Team can normally be found networking throughout the club, slaving behind the bar, or cooking up some raunchy game for all you party goers! We love a busy night, with great karma in the club – which comes from you guys, so come on down if you want to party and have energy to share!
Tammy’s your Promotions Manager – if you want to see it happen in the club, like mailouts, or massive entertainment like sumo suits, mechanical surfboard etc, she’s the one to see! Keep an eye out though, because a radical change is coming……. Now to your Men In Black – they check your id, collect your glasses, and generally ensure you have a safe night!
